Fairly extensive changes have just been committed to the Open Source maidsafe-dht codebase.

These will be somewhat irksome for those already using the project I imagine, as the update (which mainly addresses naming issues and coding style) will not be compatible with previous versions.

However, the changes should make the codebase cleaner and easier to understand for those just starting, and have been needing committed for a wee while now. It should also make the project faster and easier to build and test in different modes (Debug / Release / etc).

Given the large number of files affected by these commits and the time of day the changes were made, there is a fairly high risk of the yumyum protocol being invoked in the morning, but for now, our tests all appear to indicate success.
This means we can now offer a much greater assurance that the main interface files (APIs) will not be changed again in the near future - this is a big win for us and the users.

These changes never quite got to the top of the priority list until now! However, since the project is starting to gather traction, it seemed wise to press on with these updates before too many more users are added.

The update is reasonably well documented, but should any of our existing or potential users have any problems, we're quick to respond to (and hopefully resolve) queries arriving at our discussion board or our issue tracker.
